Pretty Princess Portraits
I have been busy as a bee lately. I have worked at Peapods most of the week and then hopped over to Teacup Cottage for photo shoots and parties during the weekend. Some are unaware that I took many photography classes years ago when my son was small. I have photographed weddings, family portraits, pets, children, and much more.
At Teacup Cottage we offer an hour Pretty Princess Portrait session. We do a mini make-over followed by the princess choosing whichever gown she prefers for her portrait. While most portrait sessions are for our custom invitations, we also offer this service to those who haven't booked a party. I think most little girls would LOVE having a portrait of themselves just like those taken of Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and all the other well-known royals.
Sitting next to the school picture we are all too familiar with would sit a softly lit portrait of your princess dressed in a glittering gown showing a smile of confidence. Truly a treasure for not only your princess but for you as well. Call or email for more information and to book your portrait session today.

Awesome Ariel
I had a unique party for twins this past weekend. As most are aware, I too have twins. However, the twins from this past weekend are greatly different from my own set. The birthday twins were extremely well behaved and listened attentively to what I asked of them during each activity. Had that been my set of twins, they would have been hanging from the iron tiara while trying to see who could jump the furthest down the steps. I did see one noticeable similarity. While one chose an extravagant gown with all the trimmings the other chose our mermaid costume. One of my girls loves to dress-up like Ariel. Our Ariel costume tends to be one of the most popular costumes of all. Birthday girls and guests alike always show excitement when they see we have the infamous mermaid fin with it's purple top hanging next to the full and glittery gowns.
A popular request recently has been for the Ariel bridal gown. I have been on the hunt for that gown for a while now but think I have found it. When I do make arrangements for it's arrival, I'll post a photo of it. It was shown so briefly in the movie I think some of us adults may have not taken it's beauty all in. If you really look at the design of the gown, it looks like a cross between a fairy gown and layers of tulip petals. Actually, I hate to admit this but in ninth grade I wore a homecoming dress very similar but in pink. It was one of those "What was I thinking?!" dresses of the 80's. With little girls though, the more flowing and fluffy a dress is, the more beautiful it is to them. Extravagance is beautiful to a princess, including a green glittery fin and purple bikini top.
