Peapods Summer Hours

 Peapods has new summer hours !!! We will be open Thursday~  Friday~Saturday 10:30-2:30  I'm sure our customers will be hitting the beach & doing fun activities with their children. Happy Summer Everyone!!!  

Back in the Saddle Again

I want to thank everyone for their patience in the month of May. I wasn't at Peapods practically the entire month due to my husband's training across the country.  I had to get my girls off the bus Mon-Fri in the middle of the day and shuttle between tennis matches, T-ball games, award ceremonies, parties, and the list goes on.

Thank you to everyone for your understanding and I'll be back to the store as usual this coming week! Lastly, don't forget camp begins at Teacup Cottage June 28th.  I still have room. Ordering Reminder

Easter is 13 days away. Orders should be placed within the week to receive it in time. They all turned out adorable. Portraits make great gifts! Thank you to all the families who participated. I was informed I am the 1st photographer in the area to pose live chicks & bunnies at the same time with children. Well, thank you to a  nationally well-known photographer for informing me of that & thank you to all who came out. I have some other ideas I'll let you all know about soon! TTFN:)

Easter Portrait Time at Teacup Cottage

Easter comes early this year. In celebration of Spring, we will be taking Easter portraits at Teacup Cottage beginning Friday March 5th. The first 10 families to make an appointment will not be charged a session fee. What makes our portraits different you ask? Well, we will be using a real bunny rabbit and baby chicks in our portraits. We're the only studio in the area offering such a memorable spring portrait. It's Our 2nd Year!

Yippee! We are celebrating our 2nd year at the cottage. Mrs. Peapods would like to thank all the birthday girls, Girl Scouts, and campers for celebrating at Teacup Cottage. Each and every one of you made each event a joy to host. We are looking forward to many more special events in the New Year.
*A brand new portrait studio will also be opening at the cottage. *I will announce a one day only session with no sitting fees. *After an appointment is made, customers simply attend their session. *Afterwards each customer will have their own portrait gallery on-line. *Customers order directly on-line from the comfort of their own home with pictures delivered directly to your doorstep. Once the kids are asleep, you have all night to decide which portraits you prefer without being rushed or interrupted. As a mom, I love it!

Big News for 2010

I am thrilled to announce a new portrait studio is opening
within Teacup Cottage. The studio lights are set and the
backdrops will be in place within a few weeks. The studio
will be open by appointment only in order to offer private
portrait sessions. This will not be like any local franchises
where you wait your turn with 15 families only to get the
same poses and repetitive styles all the others receive.
This is personalized service offering modern and clean
photographic style with unique lighting techniques.....and it's affordable!

p.s. Mrs. Peapods will continue to offer unique parties & camps as usual. Camp dates will be announced in March. *We will be having a specialty camp for the older girls this year. My campers are growing up:)

Camp was Glitterific

Yesterday was the last day of camp for the summer. I have totally enjoyed camp this year and have had a blast. We painted over 70 faces at least once, gone through almost 1,000 bobby pins, painted around 720 fingers, and heard every Taylor Swift, Hannah Montana, and Disney song on the market. It was a lot of fun.

Thank you to all the parents for doing a great job with your girls. They were mannerly, kind, and loved participating in all of our activities. A great group of girls. Please tell them I am proud of each and every one of my "Glitter Girls".

My campers have made a request this year. They want me to organize a Halloween/harvest dress-up party. With that said, I will be sending information out in September with all the dates/times for this event. It will more than likely take place the middle of October. I plan on having princesses and some other well-known characters in attendance for the children to have their pictures taken with. Plus, boys are welcome to come. We'll have some pirates and knights on hand for them. Be on the lookout for further information.

Lastly, I will be posting pictures of camp online soon. I'll also let you know the web address for this as soon as I edit and upload all pictures. Keep checking my blog for further information. Thank you again to everyone and hope to see you soon:)

Introducing Kyla

My previous post welcomed Ava to the world. Now Ava's cousin Kyla has graced the world with her entrance. Ava and Kyla's mothers are sisters and my cousins (but they're like nieces to me:). Busy time in my family! I plan on doing an actual photo shoot over the weekend. I'll post those on my other site whitneycarmean.blogspot.com. These pictures were taken 1.5 hours after Kyla's birth. She immediately held her daddy's finger. I love her to pieces!

Face Painting Fun

I would like to thank my ladies from Teacup Cottage who helped out at the Courageous Christopher benefit. It was a ton of fun and as you can see by the picture of Kambria, even the teen boys wanted to be painted. Thank you everyone!

Also, as they say "every road leads to somewhere"...I am now learning to artistically paint faces. Not just the cheek variety but full faces. It's a perfect fit for our parties. I'm not totally unfamiliar with face painting. I can turn anyone into a professional looking clown in a snap.

Many of you do not know this but I am extremely knowledgable in all things related to circus life. That's entirely another story but if you're interested, ask me next time we see each other. Someday, when my children are all grown up, I'll write a book:)

What's New

As you can tell by how little I have been blogging, the cottage staff and I have been busy as a bee. Not only with parties but we are prepping for many events such as our up-coming "Glitter Girls Camp 2009." Our camp is going to be a hit this summer! If your camper liked princess camp, she will LOVE Glitter Girls Camp. It will be packed full of cool activities. If you still haven't signed your glitter girl up, you can stop by Peapods or send me an email providing me with your mailing address and I'll send you a camp packet right away:)

Also, this Saturday be sure to attend the 2nd Annual Courageous Christopher 5K Run, Walk & Stroller Strut to be held at Asbury United Methodist Church. Registration begins at 8:30. Meet Princess "K". Taken last week at Pemberton Park, she was a joy to photograph. I prefer to mix my sessions with natural shots like the one above and slightly posed shots like the one to the left. Spring/Summer Drop-offs

Peapods will begin the spring/summer drop-off season Tuesday January 27th.


Please call prior to bringing items in to set-up a date for your drop-offs.

Items will not be accepted in bags however, we do accept items in boxes, containers with lids, and preferably on hangers.

This season we will be more selective and will purchase only exceptional items that are in like-new or new condition. Preferred brands include Gymboree, Janie & Jack, Hannah Anderson, Baby Lulu, and any top quality brands. Last seasons' Gap and Old Navy also accepted.

Sizes purchased include preemie to juniors. Equipment is always accepted.
